Final Exams can be very stressful, and sugar is a great way to fuel the late night studying! We had our Annual Cookie Swap Party and Secret Santa gift exchange to have some fun at the end of the quarter!

NYC: The International Center for Photography
Hello, summer! Last week, ESN-NYC went to The International Center for Photography.
The weather was perfect, so first we stopped for vegan ice cream at Van Leeuwen’s. The sizes were huge and the ice cream came in interesting flavors and colors. Some eye-catching flavors were black sesame ash, honeycomb, and s’mores.

Restaurant Review: Pearl Street Diner (NYC)
Food is the way to anyone’s heart! It is also a great way to learn grammar. Last week, the students from ESN-NYC went to a classic, retro restaurant from the 1960s called Pearl Street Diner, near Wall Street. Diners are a symbol of “Americana,” or America’s heritage. Many popular and classic films include scenes in a diner. For example, think of the iconic opening scene in Pulp Fiction.

Celebrating Culture: Cinco de Mayo!
New York City and Los Angeles are very proud of their cultural diversity. The Los Angeles campus recently celebrated Cinco de Mayo, which is a celebration of the Mexican Army’s improbable victory over the French in the city of Puebla, Mexico (1862).
