Rise & Shine, March is Here!

Did you know that March is designated as Women’s History Month in the United States? Check the blog later in the month to see the fun activities ESN-NYC and ESN-LA will be doing to celebrate. In addition, spring is in the air! Flowers are blooming, the days are becoming longer…breathe it in – things are about to start changing!

Women’s History month is a very important observance as women fight for equal human rights. The celebration of Women’s History Month started locally in Santa Rosa, California. A partnership of women lobbied Congress and in 1987 March became the official month to honor all the amazing contributions of women around the world!

Holi, the Indian Festival of Colors, is also celebrated in NYC and LA this month. Skip buying a plane ticket and check out one of the events where you can enjoy tasty Indian food, meditate, dance, and splash color on each other!
